Mulberry Before

I turned a piece of mulberry last night that fell in a storm. Here it is finished green. Lets see what happens over the next few days. I put it in a couple paper bags with it's own very wet shavings after I put a good coat of linseed oil on it. Any guesses on how it will turn out?

I like the look of the Mulberry, I may be getting some coming my way. I have a tree or 2 at work that need to come down. So ....

See the defect/feature in the lower right side? That opened up a bit during drying, but no cracking. I will post a new one soon. This stuff REALLY retains water. If you turn it green, prepare to get wet and oil your lathe bed a little if you happen to think to.
