Helix bowl - completed

Here is the photo for the local gallery of the Helix bowl completed and in one of the many configurations (my favorite due to the balancing act going on...lots of movement) Smile

Measurements vary, started out as a 7" x 2" sycamore bowl. Dyed, inked and lacquer finish.

Ah, Chris, your "bowl" won't hold water (or anything else for that matter.) As a bowl I give it an "f." As a piece of turned, kinetic, art I give it an "a+."
Lad, to me, this is your best piece. This one will put you "on the map."

Hey UD, yes inked...lol. On the silver spiral, I dyed it white and then shot a translucent ink that gives it more depth and a pearlescent silver look.
