Very cool. I don't care if it won't hold any beer. I can just look at it while drinking out of something else. Far from worthless IMO...

Phenominal use of a banksia pod! I can honestly say this is a first as far as I know. The use of the bloodwood on top to clarify and hgihlight the rim also serves to "frame" the banksia pod within the bloodwood elements and then again framing the stem within the banksia and walnut similar colors. As Bull said, a 10 in my book as well.

I was polishing this piece and got it a bit too slippery. I dropped it and broke a chunk outa the rim and cracked the whole cup Sad

......Back to glue and refinishing!!
