Very eye catching! I love how the "spirals" seem to be off-centerish, yet the piece as a whole is centered dead on. And the coloring on the finial is magnificent.

I finish almost all of my pieces with General Finish arm-r-seal. It is a blend of tung oil and urethane. Then I buff them with the Beal buffing system.

Beautiful! I never heard of Texas Ebony. It looks a little like Russian Olive but nicer.

Texas Ebony grows in South Texas. I first heard of it a couple of years ago. It is very hard and usually darker.
