Russian Olive HF

Russian Olive HF with Bocote collar. 8" x 5" with finish. The left view is the wood toward the center of the tree. The right view is the wood on the outside of the tree with a little yellow sapwood and some verticle bark inclusions.

great job man, that is some really beautiful wood there. I like the bark inclusions, and then the nice circles the inside grain produced. sweet.

Nice piece, Curt. If I'd have known a few years ago the wood was that nice, I'd have cut down the one in my Father in law's back yard when he sold the house.;) Well, maybe not. I like the collar too.
