I am reasonably sure that you are making these images with shade from daylight, a light source very UV rich. Some digital cameras have a specific shade color correction preset, otherwise you will have to change light sources or attempt to make corrections with software.
Yes, it was outside in a shady spot in the early evening. The colours of the piece itself seem true, it is just the background colour that is off. My camera offers colour options of: High Colour, Natural Colour, Low Colour, Black & White, and Sepia. I have been using the Natural Colour setting.
