Here's a little something I did yesterday for fun. African Blackwood goblet with a nice section of sapwood. About 6" tall, 4" stem that is 1/8" dia. (each bead marks an inch). Captive ring. I tried to get a little more elegant with the base, so I have a ball trapped between 2 half coves. The bowl is 1/16" thick. The light line about 1/2 down the bowl is not a tool/sanding mark...had to double check after seeing the photo, fortunately it is just dust.
Chris I like this better than the first coccalobo (sp) but I think a look of it is the contrast in the wood color and you and see the detail work were the bowl meets the stem they are both great but I personnally like this one best But then again i have an unurained eye.
