Boxelder mosaic - 388

This piece is 3 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" tall. It's boxelder that has been burned and colored. The black portions have been textured with a pyrography tool. Finished with Krylon UV resistant clear acrylic spray.

Love this one Pam. The dual pattern must have been hard to map out and keep straight while burning and coloring.

Thanks, Chris. You have no idea how hard it was. I got a headache every time I stared at the pattern too long....it was quite a challenge :-))

Thanks, cf. I have about 40 hours of work into this one. It's the most detailed mosaic I've done so far. It's just too bad that the turning part of it only takes an hour or two. I've been told by my club members that I'm a masochist.... :-))

I now know the feeling Pam "Tempest...", which is still under construction, has 13 hours into it so far and I'm only about 1/3 of the way done.
