Maple Burl NE bowl

Here is the finished version of the collage I posted a few days ago.

Maple Burl natural edge, winged bowl...I guess that's what you would call these... 12" x 14", wing thickness is 1/4". The bowl is 3 1/2" dia. x 1 1/2" deep with a wall thickness of about 1/8-3/16". Sanded to 600 (lots of it by hand) and then finished with 2 coats of Behlen's Sanding Sealer, buffed to give it a low reflective satin finish.

Very Nice piece of wood, lad. You've enhanced it's natural beauty quite well.

Do ya still have 5, unmarred, fingers on each hand?

A small, orbital, sander works well on this type of piece.
