Textured Spalted Beech Vessel

7h x 8w spalted beech with hammered texture. I have been experimenting with different surface treatments and the methods to obtain such. This piece of beech was so beautiful that I hated to experiment with texturing on it. I took a deep breath and began the process. About 4 hours later, this is what I ended up with. See the other photo for a more detailed view of the surface texture. It is finished with satin wipe on poly. Critiques are appreciated as they always help me get better.
