Rock Elm Vase

8.5h x 7w Dyed and ebonized rock elm crotch. Before finishing, I set this piece on the lathe for a few minuets and the iron in the ways completely turned the bottom black so I went ahead and ebonized the entire piece with vinegar and rust solution. It looked pretty bad as the sapwood obviously did not ebonize like the heartwood did. I decided to dye the entire piece with black and red dye combined. It is finished with Waterlox. Critiques are appreciated as they always help me get better.
