Thanks Rev. I use small sanding blocks with the same angle.
with the sand paper going up the side of the block it sands the raised arias and still keeps the transition crisp.
Don't know why I have such a hard time using a sanding block with bowls. Use then a lot doing flat work and even used them some with pens. Just never have used a block when trying to smooth out a trouble spot on a bowl. Thanks for the inisght. 8)
Amazing Gary, the figure in the wood makes the front view appear to curl back as if the wings had a backwards curvature, but a side view confirms that it is flat, amazing job turning this and an amazing piece of wood!
