sycamore with coffee/shavings filler

This is a bowl I mentioned in the message post about making pen blanks from coffee grounds. The section (about 1.5" across) just to the left of the center of the bowl is filled with a mixture of shavings, coffee, and titebond glue mixed to the consistency of clay and packed into a void where some rotten wood flew out. Then turned and sanded. Still sanding and finishing bowl. I think the filler will darken with finish.

With all the glue, I doubt it's going to get much darker. Love the piece either way. Don't know the size here, but it looks to be a bit larger than I can do on my mini. Nice work Curt. 8)
