3 sided box

This was fun to make!! I wish i had something diffrent than oak to do it with.............but I didnt. I have the "plan" or the directions to turn these things (mear guidline) from the club meeting we had with Cindy Drozda. Wings on the bottom are tough to keep from tearing out

Did you start with a three sided blank or did you start of round and use an offset turning technique to get the three sides? Either way, it looks good.

Yeah kinda the insight for the challenge!! Except 4 sided and segmented of course

Yes philip I turned the piece between centers to a cone then just took the compass and made a circle on each end about 1/2 smaller than the chucking point, found three equal points on that circle (each end) and those are the centers for turning
