How To Make The Clam Shell Bowl
Look at the picture in the larger view and you will see the lines I have drawn from the center going out. This helps me know where the high and low points are. Around the sides you can see the waves drawn on the woods that have been sandwiched and glued together. At this point only the outer area and inside tool shaping has been done. The next step is the fun hand work. This is Cedar and Sassafras both are soft woods so keep those tools Sharp when cutting.
