C. betuloides box #2

Here's #2, he's alittle bigger, 3.75" in dia. by 5.5" high. He's such a handsome fellow I didn't need to use "slick stuff" on him either.

Where did you get the wood for this stuff Bud? It really nice looking stuff. The contrast between the heart and sapwood is extremely interesting. Assuming of course that the dark center is the heartwood.

What grit are sanding this stuff to? I got some walnut up to this kind of shine the other night. Too bad I went through the side when I was parting it off the face plate. 8)
