Spalted Hickory

Here is the spalted Hickory bowl that was in the oops gallery. My wife wanted me to fix it.
10 X 4 finished with salad bowl oil and buffed with carnuba wax.

The tenon tore and I could not get it cetered again, even after retrueing the tenon, that is why the rim is a bit thick and the bottom took about a week of sanding Smile

That was sure worth the effort. It's thick but it has a really nice shape and the rim is nice too. Very nice wood. Nice save!
