Lost wood turn

Comments are always appreciated. I would really like to get thoughts and suggestions.

This is my first try at a lost wood turn. It was a fun project. the wood is purple heart, about 6 inches high and 2 3/4 inches wide and about 1 inch across. The finish is several coats of diluted shellac and buffed with white diamond.
