Gold Pearl

This wide rimmed bowl was turned from a piece of curly maple and dyed blue to enhance the curly grain in the wood. Gold leaf was used to cover the bowls inside surface. Twenty coats of CA were used on the dyed rim to create a high gloss finish and to provide many years of enjoyment.
