Very nicely done, Phillip. I like the way you got a "book match" effect with the grain and heartwood. The bark has a pretty cool figure to it when partially turned away too, I think. It's not so obvious at this photo angle, but it resembles fish scales.

Philip, are the low sides even, or did you have to sacrifice that in order to get the 'bookmatch' on the piths.

Rick, the low sides are even. I will post pics showing how the wood was mounted, it will be easier than explaining it.
