Very thin spalted beech bowl about 4" in diameter, made from wood harvested in Randolph MA. Finish is shellac and oil.
Made this while playing around at a demo at a local fair and trying to see how thin I could get. Was really happy with how it turned out, then I dropped it while showing it to someone, and it cracked. I was able to repair the crack, but then one of the other demonstrators spilled a bottle of CA glue on it. Lots of hand sanding later I was able to save it, and gave it to a friend who was admiring it in my collection.
