Nice box Ed! If I may, I`ll chance to say that I prefer not to exceed 2 tones of wood generally.....I find it a little much for the eye to tie together? Or in other case, tying the finial to the base with the same wood helps with balance, IMHO....

Thanks for taking the time to critique. I hear what you're saying about the number of wood tones. The small maple transition piece also sticks out a bit too much, it was supposed to be the same as the body. Stay tuned for the next one
