Hackberry (?) Natural Edge view #2

After several months away from the lathe I was able to pump this one out. About 6" x 2.5" with all its bark intact. It is about 1/4" thick from top to bottom. Rolls around to a 2" depression on the bottom for a foot. Has 1 application of walnut oil rubbed in at this point. I'll add another application or two then decide whether or not to buff. May well not since the inside is so tight. All C&C appreciated.

Me too. It was really a ton of fun to make shavings again. Meant to be out there again this past weekend. Just didn't work out. But more time in the shop is on the agenda, more NE pieces, and some larger work as well. We will see how it all works out.
