Lidded Walnut andMaple Pedestal Box

This box 12 inches high bye 4-1/2 inches wide. It has curly maple for the top and base. The box is english walnut. Thes is not finish it is just buffed and waxed. The lid is threaded on with 1-1/2 Inch white pvc pipe thead.

Nic, I really like this one as well. I think I would like it better without the Maple stem. For my eye it is too close/not far enough in the colors. Might be that the maple is too smooth for the walnut, grain wise. Your work looks to be well proportioned though. Nice finish too. 8)
