Persimmon Bowl

Green turned persimmon natural edge bowl. It has a knot on the back side that caused some great textural rippling in the wood as it dried, but no cracks. I can't wait to get more Persimmon. Lovely stuff and it takes a beautiful finish.

This a very beautiful contrast between the bark, dark color and the wood. Great job. Did you do anything special to get the perfectly dark bark color contrast?

Thanks guys! Breck--I didn't do anything special. This is just how the wood and bark coloring was. The tree was cut down in March I believe, since I know the season it's cut can make a difference in how well the bark stays on.
