Oak Commission

This is the first hollow form I have turned in about nine months. It's a "sentimental commission" for a previous customer. It's some kind of Oak from northern California.

Not too long ago, I had seen so much oak doing cabinet work that I grew tired of it....now that I`m turning it`s like a new discovery, I really love seeing it this way. Great stuff Paul. Did you use a stain?

Thanks Vinny. No stain, that's the natural color. I used Watco Danish Oil for the finish.
