Plain Walnut Box

I have some plain looking Walnut in the shop and it encourages me to experiment. This one wasn`t planned out, just wound up here. It measures 10 x 7.5 inches. All the black elements are cherry, ebonized with black sharpie and India ink. I used pre catalyzed lacquer in a can for the finish. Suggestions and observations are welcome!
