Fantastic job on utilizing the shape of this beautiful piece of wood. It's not easy to combine turning and carving with such clean and flowing lines. Very well done, Roger!
Looks great Roger, Red Malle is one of my favorites, how did you manage to carve such fluid lines? This stuff is hard as a rock I have a hard time just turning this stuff. Again a beautiful piece!
Thankks Scott. I used a Saburr tooth carving wheels in a air powered die grinder. I used the course and followed by the fine both in a 1 inch diameter sphere. Removes material fast and the fine leaves a fairly smooth surface.
