On the board you mentioned that this one was inspired by the urns that you have pictured. I would love to see what you do with the shape of those urns. This shape, while well done has a couple of problems. One, the ridge that separates the upper curve from the lower curve stops the eye. Bowls need to allow the eye to flow from the top to the bottom, or bottom to top, without interruption. Most of the time, when there is a sudden interruption in the curve, your brain wants to say, "There's something wrong here." The second issue is that you have that secondary abrupt curve. What it does is cause confusion to the eye. Is it a concave curve or a convex curve? The Greeks solved this problem with the ogee curve. Think of a flowing "s" curve, maybe the top is smaller than the bottom. The convex and concave curves from smoothly from one to the other.
What you have done you have done well. What I can see in the picture looks to be a piece that feels great in the hand. Should be a great size to be very useful. Nicely done. Just needs a bit of refinement to take it from a good piece to a great piece.
