Jacaranda HF

I came into some Jacaranda this weekend and this is one of the pieces I turned from it.
4" x 5 1/4" finished with BLO and just a coat of sanding sealer. I'll be adding some WOP and then knock the gloss down with steel wool for a soft satin finish.

I've not heard of that wood before. Looks as if it finishes out somewhere between Basswood and Maple. Great job with your form. That is an outstanding curve all the way from top to bottom with no flat spots. Fine job!
