Maple Burl Wall Hanging with Hollow Form

Description}: This piece measures 22" wide X 14" high, it stands off the wall 2 1/4" and has a uniform thickness of approximately 1/4". The 5 1/4" hollow form is very light and is held in place, centered, by hidden rare earth magnets. The main piece can be also used flat on a table as a serving or display dish.

Description}: I turned this from a long, curved buttress support under a large branch. I surgically removed it right before the crew sliced it up. I just knew the grain was going to be spectacular in there. `15" L x 8"W x 6 1/2"H. 11.oz.

Description}: This is turned from a thick Sugar Maple branch cap. The top surface is the underside of the growth that forms in the space where the branch rotted back into the trunk. As it takes years to close up, the cambium grows down into the void and actually forms bark over it which ends up captured within. 5 3/4" W x 21/2"H.5.2 oz.
