Description}: Bradford pear is a wonderful wood to turn. I enjoy its smooth texture. This large piece had a lot of wind shake from storms past, which gave me second thoughts. I debated on whether to finish the piece with all the cracks, but decided to fill them and proceed. I'm glad I did. I think the piece turned out quite nice. Measures 13 in length X 5.5 in height

Description}: Hidden just out of view on the bottom of the piece is a small white river rock that found its way onto this burl and the bark grew around it. The feet and finial on this piece were turned from Bocote wood with spectacular colors of soft gold with dark brown and black stripes. Measure 8” in width by 5” in height.
