I chose Cherry with purpleheart accents. They are 8 inches in diameter and the "keyhole" holds your stemware so you have a free hand to eat your goodies from the plate. http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=10903&title=hors-d-oeuvre-plates&cat=712 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=10903&title=hors-d-oeuvre-plates&cat=712 Thu, 10 Oct 2013 18:37:13 +0000 Sunrise

by: Tom Coghill

Description}: Cherry and black milk paint. The wood grain of the fir was raised by charing the wood, wire brushing it off, then recharing. I did this 3 times to raise the grain this much. Black and white gesso provided the visual effect. In contrast, I truned a small bown in the center. It stands on carved 3 legs.

1 comment http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=10900&title=burnt-fir-2&cat=712 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=10900&title=burnt-fir-2&cat=712 Mon, 07 Oct 2013 22:03:27 +0000 Torched Fir

by: Tom Coghill

Description}: This is the second turning that was Accepted in the Anchorage Museum.
