Natural Edge Suspended Burl Platter

Description}: an off centered platter of an Unknown wood burl. The platter is suspended and the platter sits on 3 of the burl bumps. Finished with three coats Polymerized Tung Oil after I sealed the wood with shellac.

Description}: The wood is Cherry that was sunk for the last 100 years and then harvested. The Eagle was relief carved then painted. The rim was dyed with Aniline wood dye. Finished with 3 coats of Polymerized Tung Oil.

Description}: It is the "Bowl from a Board" on steroids. This bowl has 23 rings then a Black Walnut top accent ring was added plus the base of Black Walnut. finished with 3 coats of Polymerized Tung Oil.

Description}: a Vase with flowers. the height is about 11" and 4.5" across. The flowers are to about 2.2millimeter thick and the finish on the flowers is rattle can lacquer while the vase is buffed and waxed. Thanks for looking.

Description}: This burl was a real challenge to turn, but it has so many beautiful features in grain, bark and voids it just had to be attempted. It was finished with Wipe On Poli, it measures about 10"x5.5"

Description}: Made from Ash, Purple Heart, Paduuk and Black Walnut. The globe has been hollowed out(top finial in with friction fit so you can see the hollowed center)overall measurement 6"x2". Finished with wipe on Poly.

Description}: One more piece done in the Fisher fashion. It is a 13" piece that I tried to let the light from the sun radiate out over unto the rim of the platter and the shadow from the earth extend out over the lower rim.
