One of them exploded into dust, so I decided to complete it using a darker, contrasting wood to see what it would look like. I'm still undecided. http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=9766&title=two-tone-pen-spalted-dunno-and-claro-walnut&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=9766&title=two-tone-pen-spalted-dunno-and-claro-walnut&cat=500 Sat, 19 Mar 2011 20:22:21 +0000 Purpleheart Pen <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=9765&amp;title=purpleheart-pen&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="phglueup.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/phglueup.jpg" alt="phglueup.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: Mike Oyama<br /><br />Description}: Turned from a glue-up of some thiner purpleheart planks.<br /><br />1 comment http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=9765&title=purpleheart-pen&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=9765&title=purpleheart-pen&cat=500 Sat, 19 Mar 2011 20:18:04 +0000 First Pen - Brazilian Cherry <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=9760&amp;title=first-pen-brazilian-cherry&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="firstpen.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/firstpen.jpg" alt="firstpen.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: Mike Oyama<br /><br />Description}: This is my first attempt at turning a pen on my new lathe. I had a ton of fun turning it. This is definitely the first of MANY.<br /><br />5 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=9760&title=first-pen-brazilian-cherry&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=9760&title=first-pen-brazilian-cherry&cat=500 Fri, 11 Mar 2011 05:07:30 +0000 Black Palm Candlestick <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=9503&amp;title=black-palm-candlestick&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="black_palm_candlestick.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/black_palm_candlestick.jpg" alt="black_palm_candlestick.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: Mike Oyama<br /><br />Description}: Turned from Black Palm.
