Description}: This may be a bit overkill, but this is my pool ball box. It is on a cherry stem and has a cherry finial. Overall, it is about 18 inches tall.

Description}: This is a cherry bowl with some nice figure and more than a few checks from drying. Black, red, and yellow analine dye added. Finished with wipe on poly. Buffed.

Description}: I know I have posted flame stuff before, but this was a retirement gift for my captain. Sycamore, 18" in diameter, and about 10" deep. I know it is a little thick, but I purposely wanted it to have a lot of heft.

Patina bowls

Description}: I demonsrated applying gilding patinas with these 2 bowls. The one on the left is copper with chemical patina, and the one on the right is mostly silver with a little copper and imitation gold.They will be finished with domed tops and will resemble hollow forms. Description}: This is another demo piece. It is airbrushed with 5 different overlapping colors. I think it is a little heavy with color, but my wife likes it. I am thinking of donating this piece to the Humane Society for a fundraiser. Comments?

Description}: A Sycamore bowl rough turned last year at the Desert Woodturning Roundup by Craig Jackson. I took it, dried it, final turned it, and put flames on it and burned the other areas as a club challenge and after watching a Molly Winton demo.

Description}: This is a piece of Sycamore I tried an experiment with after watching Molly Winton. The lines of the musical staff are wire burned, and the notes are burned with a pen burner. This is a birthday gift for a concert pianist and my best friend who played at my wedding. the tune is the melody to the original wedding march that he wrote for the occasion.

Description}: Made with Cherry and a Mesquite lid. Body of the vessel is coated with about 10 coats of black laquer, hand rubbed with non-woven pads in between each coat.

Description}: A piece of spalted oak with Walnut base, rim, and finial. I got this piece from a wood trade we did about a year ago. Finish is 4 coats of an oil/poly blend, and buffed.
