Description}: Lacewood and Maple. The bottom finial is suspended from the top one with filament wire so when you look through the hollowed Lacewood you don't see anything. Fun project!!! Danish oil is still a little damp here...I'm cutting it close.

Springtime 2010 C&T Mini Box

Description}: Maple and Walnut box. 1 5/8" tall, 1 7/8" wide finished with wipe on poly and then bealle buffed. Had a blast making this. This is attempt 2 as attempt 1 flew across the garage when buffing. I wanted something small but still semi-functional so I guess you can put a couple dollars worth of change in it :) Jeff

Natural Edge Bowl

Description}: This is my first Natural Edged Bowl- at least my first where the natural edge stayed on and made it to the finishing table! 5" x 3". I used liberal amounts of thin CA to keep the bark on. Finished with Danish Oil and then Beall Buffed. It is made from some mystery wood that I got from a neighbor. I would like to know what the wood is. It cuts great, has nice character and grain and I have a couple logs left. Comments welcome and appreciated.

Spring 09 C&T Lidded Box

Description}: 2.75" x 6" Walnut Lidded Box with Finial. Finished with 6 coats of Danish Oil and then Beall Buffed with all 3 wheels. I used the 24 indexes on my lathe and a drilling jig for the spiral of holes and I used the Sawzall blade parting tool (thanks guys!) to try and maintain the grain match. The finial is three pieces of Walnut epoxied together (with a tiny squeeze-out that I am bummed about). Squeaks pretty good pulling the lid off. I hope you enjoy Brendan! Jeff McDonald

Description}: This is a travel mug I made for my wife out of Sapele (thanks Mike) and Zebra wood. Finished with 6 coats of General Finished Poly/Oil and then waxed with Carnuba on the Beall Wheel. Comments welcomed!
