Description}: 8" x 4" finished with 3 coats of Teak Oil Finish and beall buffed. I've not worked with Ash before but both this bowl and another still drying developed the black spots/smudges. These were still a little green when I roughed them and microwaved to dry them. Are the blemishes just water damage or is this common with Ash?

Description}: 3" x 3" Bocote base and Black Walnut top. The base is finished with friction polish and buffed. The top snapped off the tenon so was finished with wipe on poly and buffed.

Description}: 3.5" diameter & 3" tall. Finished with two coats of wipe on poly and buffed with the beall. I'd have liked to take another picture further away but it's already been given to the birthday girl ;)

Description}: This was going to be my first natural edge piece but the bark decided otherwise. The interior finish is poor but I knew it was for personal use and opted to save the sandpaper.

Description}: This was my first bowl attempt and went alright but for a series of small cracks that occurred during sanding. There was also some discoloration that appeared after finishing. The shop sure smelled great!

Description}: This was my first non pen on the lathe. It was supposed to be a pencil cup but it's too short. I use it for paper clips at work. I finshed it wet and there was some discoloration.

Description}: This was a lesson in design. The upper section was too wide for the clip so I had to go without. It rolls all over one's desk but one of wife's coworkers was drooling over it. At least someone likes it!
