My First Box!

Description}: My first box is from a block of walnut that was sanded to 320 and run thru the Beal Buffing wheels. The more I look at it, the more picky I become about all the little defec. . I mean "character attributes". But, I MADE A BOX and it's going around the world!!! :) Kate

Description}: Opposite side of the Socker Drawer Egg turned from found Cedar. There was a nice looking mini-burl (again, sry for the bad photo) that allowed me to keep a bit of the egg natural and also allowed for unconventional curves. Time for another dog walk :)

Description}: ~2.5 x ~1.5 egg from Cedar stick I found on dog walk. Has beautiful markings that don't show well on pic. (My camera abilities are less than my turning skills) My husband won't let me polish it because he likes the smell, so I told him to put it in his sock drawer!

Primitive Weed Pot

Description}: ~5" tall from rootball left by dead shrub in my yard. My first attempt at a vase figure ended up being a primitive little thingy that can hold maybe a single dandelion. Oh well, learning sure is fun!!!

Description}: This was my very first egg!! I'm such a proud Momma:) The goblet is one of my husband's first attempts too and just happened to fit perfectly. Egg = 1 1/1" Rosewood & Goblet = 1 1/2" scrap
