Description}: Crotch walnut, about 5.5". Opening is 1/2", thickness is 3/16" throughout, with the exception of the base. Its closer to 9/32. Finish is Tung Oil, Buffed, then BriWax.

Description}: There are five in this series. All the same form, and collar dimension in relationship to the form. They vary from 4.5" to 7.5". All are Maple with Ebony collar, tung oil finish, buffed, then Briwax.

Description}: Maple form, chestnut collar. The idea with the collar was to continue the line of the curve, to where it would have landed. About 7.5" x 5.5". Finish is blo, and Briwax, then buffed.

Simple hollowed vase

Description}: Told you I was going to attack a piece of wood with the Scorpion tonight. ( A GREATLY needed night off from studies.) Sweet chestnut, little over 13 inches, endgrain. Hollowed through and through to 1/8".

Description}: You can see in this pic, the crotch. No idea that it was in the wood until I had turned down a bit. It looks like there is a flat in the pics, however, its nearly a perfect curve from foot to rim.
