Description}: Turned for a friend who's tree fell in a storm. I roughed it green and thin, then allowed it to cure and warp on its own. Final turning was mainly facing the bottom. Finished with teak oil and bees wax. 12"L x 11"W x 3"D.

Grubby Cherry Vase

Description}: I turned this vase from a piece of half rotten cherry, that was full of grub worms. It measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/2". I found it to be very fun except for the grub parts on my face shield. Finished with Clear Gloss Laquer

Description}: A friend of mine asked if I would make him a pipe. The bowl is Walnut and Maple with a Maple stem. The tamper is also Walnut and Maple. Finished with Tung Oil.

Cherry Hollow Form

Description}: Turned from an old piece of cherry which was cracked really bad. I painted the crack black and finished with Tung oil and wipe on gloss poly then triple buffed. The form is about 5" x 4". Thank you all for your help to an amateur wood turner. All critiques are welcome and wanted.

Lidded Cedar HF

Description}: Lidded Cedar hollow form 6.5" x 5" without the lid. I finished with tung oil and wipe on gloss poly. This project almost flew apart. I had to stop half way through hollowing and glue it back together. This happens often with Cedar, but I really like the reds and whites.

Description}: This is the largest piece ever chucked on my lathe, really fun, though scary. 11" x 8.75". I like the cracks and spalting in this wood. Lacquer finish Inspired by Bill Bolen on this site, His work is fantastic.

Segmented Bowl

Description}: This is one of my first attempts at segmenting. This bowl is made from Cherry and White Oak. It has 61 pieces and finished with Tung Oil and several coats of finishing wax. Big challenge and really took alot of concentration. Thanks to Brian Higgins for his very detailed videos.

Lidded Maple Hollow Form

Description}: This is yet another attempt at using my first hollowing tool. It is a hollow form of maple with a walnut lid. It stands about 7 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide. Finished with Laquer. I like the grain color in this Maple tree I've had for about 2 years.

Red Cedar Box

Description}: This box was made of Red Cedar which had some bad cracks I aquired this tree a couple of years ago. The base of the finial is Pecan and the finial itself is Spalted Maple. I decided to stabilize the cracks with cyanoacrylate and traced them with my dremel. Thank you all for your advise on photographing small objects, this pic turned out much better than the last.

Description}: I made this box after seeing it done on video it really taxed my limited skill but it was very fun. I made it from a piece of Pecan damaged in a storm at a friend's house. Used Walnut for the lid and finished with Tung oil. It is 7" x 2" x 2".

Description}: Lidded box made from a Dogwood tree killed by an automobile. Finial is made from Walnut and the inlay is spalted maple. The box is 5 1/2" by 2 1/5" and finished with wipe on poly. If someone can give me pointers on photographing small things like finials without it being blurred I am open to suggestions, Thank you.
