Description}: My second attempt was another rush job for some good friends of ours before their wedding. finished with WOP that was hand buffed on the drive LOL! Both of the goblets are spalted poplar.

Description}: Butternut Walnut bowl about 7"x1.25 finished in Mineral oil. Nothing special but with the new baby and all the kids I only seem to find time for a quick pen here and there...

Description}: Zebrawood/Wenge, Bloodwood/Walnut - These are my favorites so far. BLO/CA finish but only a few coats to keep it from getting glossy.

Acrylic Cigar Pen

Description}: Brass tubes showing... gotta order some of those others ones. Does paint work? I used Gorrilla glue which might add color too... would you use CA for the transparent acrylics?

Description}: Lacewood, Macassar Ebony -oopsie that I saved, Rosewood, Birdseye Maple, Zebra wood, bloodwood & Acrylic. Some are finished with CA some with HUT turners polish. Lot's of learning on this batch including blowout/patches, backwards bushings and brass tubes in the acrylic pen that make it "glow" with a golden tint - which is why I switched from my intended black titanium to a Gold pen kit... kinda looks neat if you don't know it's a mistake!

Nested Bowls

Description}: Nested False Cypress Bowls. Learnt a lot on these... they have the pith and even after microwave drying the middle one split 3 months later. The big one split on the lathe but I used CA. Then when it was all done my Daughter (1yr old) was so proud of me that she couldn't contain herself and threw her arms, and the 5/16ths bowl, up in the air. The pieces are just sitting there on the inset because it's a bit beyond saving now :( They were finished with mineral oil and Beal buffed. Biggest is 8"x2"

Some earlier turnings

Description}: Been turning since 94 if one bowl in Highschool counts, LOL!!! Got a mini last Dec. and did some ornaments and teeny weeny bowls etc. Moved up to a Nova DVR and have been trying to get rolling with big bowls but not having success with the "rushed" versions so have to wait for the rough outs to dry. Been doing all kinds of little things like triangle candle holders, square/rolled edge candy dishes - but gave'em away before I did the pictures. The wands are a hit with the kids, my Wife loves her rings and some of the other stuff was just fun! Looking at pictures of everyones turnings is one of the best parts so... I'm gonna try and make my contribution. I'm my own worst critic so don't hold back if you have some tips, advice on form etc. etc.
