Feels heavy - even though it's hollow - but it only weighs in @ 2 oz., well within the AAW guideline. The top would be rounder, but I tightened the screw eye a half a turn too much and it broke - below the surface, of course. I had to carve out some of the wood to get down far enough to grip the broken piece and twist it out.<br /><br />4 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8381&title=pink-ivory-ornament&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8381&title=pink-ivory-ornament&cat=500 Thu, 24 Dec 2009 01:24:09 +0000 &quot;Bolo Tie&quot; Ornament <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8368&amp;title=quot-bolo-tie-quot-ornament&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="Web.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/Web.jpg" alt="Web.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: Frank Van Atta<br /><br />Description}: Cocobolo and Blackwood &quot;Bolo Tie&quot; ornament.<br /><br />7 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8368&title=quot-bolo-tie-quot-ornament&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8368&title=quot-bolo-tie-quot-ornament&cat=500 Sun, 20 Dec 2009 14:43:07 +0000 Magic Rings <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8359&amp;title=magic-rings&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="Birchx3Web.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/Birchx3Web.jpg" alt="Birchx3Web.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: Frank Van Atta<br /><br />Description}: The 3 bowls were made from a single 5 x 5 x 2 3/8 block of Birch identical to the one shown.<br /><br />7 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8359&title=magic-rings&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8359&title=magic-rings&cat=500 Sat, 19 Dec 2009 18:57:30 +0000 Chechen Burl HF <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8339&amp;title=chechen-burl-hf&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="Webshot.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/Webshot.jpg" alt="Webshot.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: Frank Van Atta<br /><br />4 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8339&title=chechen-burl-hf&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8339&title=chechen-burl-hf&cat=500 Sun, 13 Dec 2009 05:21:29 +0000 Walnut Bear Fetish <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8324&amp;title=walnut-bear-fetish&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="WalnutBear.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/WalnutBear.jpg" alt="WalnutBear.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: Frank Van Atta<br /><br />Description}: Thought I'd try my hand on a little carving.
