Description}: Here's my first attempt at a CA finish. The stopper is made from pecan. I put a light coat of carnauba wax to add some shine to the CA.

Description}: Another candlestick from a piece of scrap that I had. I think this is pecan, but I'm not sure. It has lots of inclusions because the trunk grew in a rather odd star shape. Sanded up to 120 grit and finished with tung oil. There is a lot of grain tear out -- the wood is beautiful, but hard to work with.

Description}: This piece was a salvage from a bowl I was trying to make. It had a lot of voids and inclusions. You can still see a big one on the base. It's American black cherry and I have a lot more :D
