It is made from Zebra wood, sycamore and walnut. It measures 7" talll and 10-1/2" wide. It maxed out my lathe and my skills but I am very happy with the results. The rim is approx 3/16" thick and tapers to 1/4" at the base. This was my first attempt at a plug in the first ring rather than a solid piece and it turned out well. I did have to buy a Oneway bowl rest and a bowl scraper because I was getting chatter and needed something to help scrape the inside. It is finished with blonde shellac and waterlox satin finish.

2 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=5778&title=second-segmented-bowl-finished&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=5778&title=second-segmented-bowl-finished&cat=500 Wed, 05 Mar 2008 02:51:54 +0000 My first segmented bowl

by: Captainkrusty

Description}: This is my first attempt at a bowl, segmented or otherwise.
