cake stand finished

Description}: this is the cake stand Rev helped me with. it's 9 1/4" wide at the top 6" at the base and 7 3/4" high. made from boxelder I got from hillbilly red when we were all at Phills. it has 6 coats of tung oil on it and Rev buffed it for me. you cant really tell from the picture but the boxelder has some tiger stripes in it. I've never seen that before in boxelder. if you look at the picture you can kind of see it on the platter part the strips running towards you.

Description}: as you can from being wet the rim moved a little the pic makes it look worst then it is (why is that) will be donating this piece to a local church for their auction.

Description}: this is a pen holder i made it is made from tiger striped maple and is 3.5" tall and 2.5" wide at the top walls are just under .25" thick

Description}: this is another b.h.o done by bama and myself with wood I recived from Chris Wright in the wood exchange the top is some kind of burl and the bottom I dont know, the sticker said Pau Ferro??? I've never heard of it but it looks like walnut and is very hard..
