The wood is Dalmatian and the size is 11? in dia. X 6 ? tall. This wood turns like steel , it is possible to get perfectly square details such as the inside cover lip over the plate lip. The finial is large as I try to make everything I turn useful for something, I call it a handle.

2 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=3749&title=covered-plate&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=3749&title=covered-plate&cat=500 Sat, 16 Dec 2006 23:34:31 +0000 Christmas tree

by: Jim King

Description}: This inside out turning is 44 inches tall including the angel and a maximum of 10 inches in dia. at the base. The tree is made of Blood wood , the base Black Ipe and the angel is a small inside out turning of Remo Caspi with a Vegetable Ivory carved head with tree bark blond hair. The icicles are fiberglass resin mixed with flour let to run down the tree. For an idea of size the frosted glass inside with the candle is a beer glass.

6 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=3712&title=christmas-tree&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=3712&title=christmas-tree&cat=500 Thu, 07 Dec 2006 22:21:04 +0000 Beer Cooler

by: Jim King

Description}: Covered Beer Cooler This is made of about 86 pieces of kiln dried ? and ? inch thick glued up scrap boards. The sizes are 46 inches tall. Bowl dia. Is 10 inches, the inside out turning base is 7 ? inches in dia.. In total 9 different pieces of wood. We were looking for something new to try so decided on the inside out turning and added from there to end up with what ever it is. Wally , the man from England that works with us glued it up and we used hose clamps also for security and our apprentice turner in the photo did the turning and finishing. Three full days of work after the last inside out turning glue up. The wood is Red Dalmation.

7 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=3439&title=what-would-you-call-it&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=3439&title=what-would-you-call-it&cat=500 Wed, 25 Oct 2006 21:53:00 +0000 Red Dalmation Wood

by: Jim King

Description}: This is another photo taken several weeks ago of three covered bowls and the packaging.
