Went over to a lady in our church to look at her car. Walked inside afterwards and sat down to make a phone call. Guess what I saw. My eyes lit up like a kid on christmas. So I made this for her as a thank you for the piece. Should get a few more pieces out of this log. I filled the wormholes with a turquoise looking sand I found at the craft store. I didn't feel like waiting on some inlace or something of the sort. It looks good I think. 3 3/4" tall 3" wide fun fun fun. <br /><br />3 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2620&title=spalted-magnolia-w-wormholes&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2620&title=spalted-magnolia-w-wormholes&cat=500 Sun, 04 Jun 2006 21:54:53 +0000 Spalted Magnolia Bowl <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2619&amp;title=spalted-magnolia-bowl&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="146Spalted-Magnolia-Bowl.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/146Spalted-Magnolia-Bowl.jpg" alt="146Spalted-Magnolia-Bowl.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: souperman http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2619&title=spalted-magnolia-bowl&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2619&title=spalted-magnolia-bowl&cat=500 Sun, 04 Jun 2006 21:51:09 +0000 Spalted Magnolia inside <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2618&amp;title=spalted-magnolia-inside&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="146Spalted-Magnolia-Inside.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/146Spalted-Magnolia-Inside.jpg" alt="146Spalted-Magnolia-Inside.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: souperman http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2618&title=spalted-magnolia-inside&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2618&title=spalted-magnolia-inside&cat=500 Sun, 04 Jun 2006 21:50:40 +0000 3 pecan bowls. <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2601&amp;title=3-pecan-bowls&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="1463-bowls-1.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/1463-bowls-1.jpg" alt="1463-bowls-1.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: souperman<br /><br />Description}: Cool pic I think. http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2601&title=3-pecan-bowls&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2601&title=3-pecan-bowls&cat=500 Fri, 02 Jun 2006 00:44:05 +0000 Knuckle Buster <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2600&amp;title=knuckle-buster&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="146knuckle-buster-inside-and-b.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/146knuckle-buster-inside-and-b.jpg" alt="146knuckle-buster-inside-and-b.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: souperman<br /><br />Description}: Some pics of the inside and bottom.<br /><br />1 comment http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2600&title=knuckle-buster&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2600&title=knuckle-buster&cat=500 Fri, 02 Jun 2006 00:43:27 +0000 Knuckle Buster <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2599&amp;title=knuckle-buster&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="146knuckle-buster-2.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/146knuckle-buster-2.jpg" alt="146knuckle-buster-2.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: souperman http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2599&title=knuckle-buster&cat=500 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2599&title=knuckle-buster&cat=500 Fri, 02 Jun 2006 00:42:53 +0000 Knuckle buster <a href="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=2598&amp;title=knuckle-buster&amp;cat=500"><img class="imgborder" title="146Knuckle-buster.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/data/500/thumbs/146Knuckle-buster.jpg" alt="146Knuckle-buster.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: souperman<br /><br />Description}: This one was real fun too. I wanted to make it taller like the other one but things weren't going right. I dug in while hollowing out and all of the screws in the faceplate shot out. In this pic it is not completley finished. I still have a couple of coats of poly to apply, but I wanted to take a picture of it. The design was kind of an accident, I took to much of a cut with the gouge and made the first cove at the top and then decided to see how it would look with a couple of them.
