It is our policy to support the free flow of information in a manner best befitting the woodturning community at large. Woodturner's Resource is an online community where woodturners may come together to share and discuss a common interest.

Acceptance of Terms: All users of this site agree that access to and use of this site are subject to the following terms and conditions and other applicable laws. You understand and agree that the service is provided "AS-IS" and that Woodturner's Resource assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, mis-delivery or failure to store any user communications. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use this site.

Scope of This Agreement: Woodturner's Resource provides Users with access to informational content, community discussion forums, email between members, and other resources. These terms and conditions apply to all services, discussion forums, and resources within the Woodturner's Resource Web site.

Woodturner’s Resource is a family friendly site and we have the right to remove objectionable content. We reserve the right and do not need to explain our decisions or reasons if we delete any content or cancel any membership.

Membership: Membership is available to any person over the age of 13 who registers and accurately provides all the required information, submits a legitimate electronic mail address and uses thier full name name and password. Membership is non-transferable. All membership information must be accurate and belong to the person registering. Invalid, incomplete, or falsified information can result in the immediate termination of all membership privileges for that user. Woodturner's Resource may suspend or delete the membership of any user for violation of any expressed or implied condition of the Terms of Service. Membership is a privilege not a right, and we reserve the right to deny service to any person at any time without cause.

Membership Termination: You agree that Woodturner's Resource may, in its sole discretion, terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Service for any reason, including, without limitation, breach of the Terms of Service or any subsequent modifications. Any suspected fraudulent, abusive or illegal activity may be grounds for termination of your membership account and may be referred to appropriate law enforcement authorities. Woodturner's Resource shall not be liable to you or any third party for the termination of Service or any claims related to the termination of Service. You may terminate your membership at any time by submitting a written request for termination to Woodturner's Resource via the email address or postal address listed on the site. Whether termination is initiated by Woodturner's Resource or you, the specific means of termination is our choice; we may lock or otherwise disable your account, leaving submitted content, including discussion forum posts and submitted photos in place, or we may entirely delete the account, removing said content.

Real Names Policy: In the registration process, you shall register using your full real name in two fields . If you use anything else the administration will not activate your account. If you change your real name to a fictitious name your membership may be terminated. If, after investigation, Woodturner’s Resource has reasonable grounds to suspect that any Member's information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, Woodturner’s Resource may suspend or terminate that Member's account and prohibit any and all current or future use of our forums (or any portion thereof) by that individual other than as expressly provided herein. When registering you must certify that you are over the age of 13, in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA).

Email Policy: When you register for an account at WoodTurner's Resource, you must provide a valid email address. Although we do keep your email address on file in our database, you will not be inundated with email from us unless you so choose. We never expose your email address and we advise that you never post your email address or anyone else’s in a forum message. From time to time, you may receive an email from the site administrator or a moderator. This could be to discuss a message you’ve posted in the discussion forum, to resolve a problem with your account, to respond to some inquiry you’ve made, or to announce an important new site feature.

Registration Process: Shortly after entering all the initial information, you will receive an email asking you to validate your registration. That email will contain a link that you must use. If the link does not work (or if you use AOL, Yahoo or any browser-based Email program), copy the link and insert it in the address bar of your Web browser. Once you have validated your registration, the Administrative Team will make a decision to either accept or reject your registration. Then you receive another email notifying you your registration has been accepted. If you have problems or are not contacted by the system with any of the needed information, please contact the administrative team at the email address found on the bottom of this page. We reserve the right and do not need to explain our decision or reasons if we reject or cancel any membership.

Member Profile Information: Registration requires that you use your real name and create a password and you may optionally enter other information into your user profile such as your, location, occupation, hobbies, etc. This information can be viewed only by other registered members -- it is not exposed to spiders, crawlers, or visitors. Enter as much or as little information as you feel comfortable providing.

Trademarks: All trademarks, service marks and trade names of Woodturner’s Resource used in the site are registered trademarks of Woodturner’s Resource.

Warranty Disclaimer: This site and the materials and products on this site are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, Woodturner’s Resource disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Woodturner’s Resource does not represent or warrant that the functions contained in the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that the defects will be corrected. Woodturner’s Resource does not make any warrantees or representations regarding the use of the materials, advice or information, whether oral or written in this site in terms of their correctness, accuracy, adequacy, usefulness, timeliness, reliability or otherwise.

Disclaimer of Liability: You expressly understand and agree that Woodturner's Resource shall not be liable to any user due in whole or in part to that user's use or misuse of the site or reliance on the site. Such limitation of liability shall apply to prevent recovery of direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive and exemplary damages, even if Woodturner's Resource has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Such limitation of liability shall apply whether the damages arise from use or misuse of the site or reliance on the site, use or misuse of other services or goods received through or advertised on the site or through any links provided on the site, from inability to use the site, or from the interruption, suspension, or termination of the site or services offered on the site, including such damages incurred by third parties.

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Woodturner’s Resource, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors and suppliers (collectively the "Service Providers") from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of these terms and conditions or any activity related to your account (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing the site using your membership account.

Limitation of Liability: Woodturner’s Resource shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the services and products offered on this site, or the performance of the services and products. In the event that a court should hold that the limitations of liabilities or remedies available as set forth in this Agreement, or any portions thereof, are unenforceable for any reason, or that any remedies under this Agreement fail of their essential purpose, you expressly agree that under no circumstances shall our total liability to you or any party claiming by, through or under you for any cause whatsoever, and regardless of the form of action, whether in contract or in tort, including negligence, in the aggregate, exceed the amount of charges paid by you for use of the Service under this Agreement during the twelve-month period preceding the date such claim first arose, or one United States Dollar, whichever is greater.

Termination: These terms and conditions are applicable to you upon your accessing the site and/or completing the registration or shopping process. These terms and conditions, or any part of them, may be terminated by Woodturner’s Resource without notice at any time, for any reason. The provisions relating to Copyrights, Trademark, Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification and Miscellaneous, shall survive any termination.

Miscellaneous: Your use of this site shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the state of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.. You agree that jurisdiction over and venue in any legal proceeding directly or indirectly arising out of or relating to this site shall be in the state or federal courts located in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to the site must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises. Woodturner’s Resource's failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these terms and conditions shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor trade practice shall act to modify any of these terms and conditions. Woodturner’s Resource may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to you.

Use of Site: Harassment in any manner or form on the site, including via e-mail, chat, or by use of obscene or abusive language, is strictly forbidden. Impersonation of others, including a Woodturner’s Resource or other licensed employee, host, or representative, as well as other members or visitors on the site is prohibited. You may not upload to, distribute, or otherwise publish through the site any content which is libelous, defamatory, obscene, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, illegal, or otherwise objectionable which may constitute or encourage a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party or which may otherwise give rise to liability or violate any law. You may not upload commercial content on the site or use the site to solicit others to join or become members of any other commercial online service or other organization.

We do not encourage the use of religious content in posts or in signatures. However, we recognize that a person's religious convictions or lack thereof are important aspects of their personality. Brief statements which contain religious ideas are permitted in signatures. Do not use your signature as a "bully pulpit", or as a means to belittle or offend other members. Don't demean other points of view. Don't not place religious quotes in your posts.

Participation Disclaimer: Woodturner’s Resource does not and cannot review all communications and materials posted to or created by users accessing the site, and is not in any manner responsible for the content of these communications and materials. You acknowledge that by providing you with the ability to view and distribute user-generated content on the site, Woodturner’s Resource is merely acting as a passive conduit for such distribution and is not undertaking any obligation or liability relating to any contents or activities on the site. However, Woodturner’s Resource reserves the right to block or remove communications or materials that it determines to be (a) abusive, defamatory, or obscene, (b) fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading, (c) in violation of a copyright, trademark or; other intellectual property right of another or (d) offensive or otherwise unacceptable to Woodturner’s Resource in its sole discretion.
